Penile Yeast Infection: Symptoms and treatments
Yeast infection is not common in men unlike in women. However, men may also suffer from yeast infection called penile yeast infection. It can show up in almost anywhere on the body but the most common areas it usually shows up are in the mouth, skin and male genitals. The yeast infection on the moutn is normally called thrush. Females should be familiar with the symptoms of male yeast infection because the infection may be transmitted back and forth.

Men can develop yeast infection through diabetes because the sugar level elevates in the urine resulting to a more favorable environment for yeast to overpopulate.
Symptoms of penile yeast infection are not commonly present or noticed. However, if your partner shows signs of yeast infection or Candidiasis, it is recommended that you visit your physician immediately. If you have a penile yeast infection, you may suffer from the following symptoms: irritation, soreness, severe itching, skin redness, small blisters related to the head of the penis and a white, clumpy discharge. Other symptoms of male yeast infection are burning sensation during urination or contact. In order to prevent penile yeast infection it is best to practice safe sex.
Medication for penile yeast infection is similar to female yeast infection. However, the two most common drugs used to cure penile yeast infection are Diflucan (fluconazole) and Nizoral (ketoconazole). Aside from using medications and drugs, you can also cure penile yeast infection with home remedy like yogurt and tea tree oil. Refrigerated yogurt are said to alleviate the irritation and itchiness. However, you should be careful in using something for the first time.
The benefit of treating yeast infection using home remedies is that it is milder, cleaner and much pleasant to use. It also has no side effects. In addition, home remedy is inexpensive and work similarly to medications and drugs.
